Adliswil coat of arms, color of the tongue[edit]

Hi, in 2011 you updated https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Adliswil-blazon.svg to fix the color of the tongue of the eagle on the coat of arms of Adliswil. Looking at the blason on https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adliswil it is written as Geteilt von Blau und Gold. Oben ein halber goldener Adler an der Teilung, unten ein halbes blaues Mühlerad (my translation: "Per fess azure and or. Above half an eagle or from the divide, under a half millwheel azure", which doesn't mention a tongue gueules. The tongue should either be omitted, or should be golden.

I see that the official website of Adliswil also uses a red tongue (and Webarchive confirms they've done so since at least 1998). Do you know of a source blasonning Adliswil with "langued gueules"?

I'm afraid I don't know of a source on that. I'm not even sure what prompted me to edit that image as this was over a decade ago. Probably the best place to discuss it would be on the talk page of the article. I wish I could be of more help. – Adrignola talk 17:41, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
